Cowries is a dog friendly beautifully presented, modern and spacious three bedroom house located in the heart of St Merryn village close to pubs (one run by celebrity chef Rick Stein), wine bar, shops, takeaways and excellent restaurants.
Stylishly furnished and finished to a high standard, the house is ideal for those who like to stroll out for a drink or a meal of an evening without having to worry about driving.
Families will enjoy the patio, garden and access to private play area.
Being in St Merryn, Cowries is in the heart of the Seven Bays – Seven lovely beaches along this scenic part of the Cornish coastline.
It is the ideal base from which to explore the North Cornwall coast, including places such as Watergate Bay and the Extreme Academy, the spectacular Bedruthan Steps and Padstow is only 3 miles down the road.
There is something for everyone in Padstow, from shops, galleries and restaurants to the working fishing harbour. There is also the historic Elizabethan Manor house of Prideaux Place.
Prices range from £450 – £1300 per week based on 7 nights.
Changeover is on Fridays.
There is off street parking for two cars in front of the house.

We spent 7 glorious days at the cottage and simply fell in love with both the stunning area and perfect house. For a family with a range of children ages we were so grateful for all the very well thought out extras in the house; toys, books, games etc to help amuse when home. We were blown away at just how well equipped the house was, for a keen cook the house has a wonderful kitchen and dining area. The weather during our visit was very cold and windy but we still felt we explored a good amount of the beautiful area. But having such a snug ‘home from home’ house to cosy up in each evening which we all felt immediately comfortable in was the icing on the cake. We have a child with a life limiting illness and impending paralysis we were so grateful that in our week at Cowries we made some magical, memorable special memories, ones we will treasure forever. Thank you for the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to use the cottage for our holiday. Thank you to the Sandcastle Trust for selecting us to enjoy this week- we did so much more than we ever thought so thank you again xxxMuch love The Donnelly’s.

This was our second stay. Excellent holiday accommodation. Fantastic location for beaches, local walk-to pubs and restaurants and easy access in/out of Padstow. Can’t fault the accommodation in any way. Would recommend this to anyone looking for that little extra luxury from your standard accommodation.
